Everyone always becomes
enchanted by your character. Throughout your life people continued baffle you
when they gave their undying trust and admiration. Your kindness and positive
attitude would reflect out to the world creating an aura of bliss surrounding
you that everyone wanted to be a part of. Likewise, you were strong and
independent. No one stood a chance against your sharp wit. Or most people would
be too caught up in your adorable tendencies to ever fight you.
After all this time, all this people, you remain blind to your own inner beauty that everyone so deeply loved. Never did you suspect that people would flock to you or avoid you out of sheer intimation. No. Never. In your eyes you were the girl who was average. very bland and, oh-so usual. You just assumed all of those flocking people were just so very nice. Most of them seemed to be only there to host a pity party in your honor. Maybe that's why they all followed you: Because you were a commodity. Someone just the same as all the rest.

I was thinking about this
life. Throughout this reality I have always wanted to progress past my current
state and become something truly enchanting. I dress the way I do as a way to
live out my childish fantasies. My greatest desire was to transform the world
into a fairytale. By using combinations of different clothing I could become
any creature, princess, hero, fairy, I have ever dreamed about. But at the end
of the day, my clothing comes off, my hair becomes entangled in clips, and I
crawl into bed to restart another day in which I will build up an outfit that
leaves me with butterflies and the slightest blush.
However, some nights sleep
does not come quickly and I lay awake spiraling within my mind contemplating this
reality and what my future will provide. I begin to feel a chill within my very
core; a silent panic washes over me as I feel the emptiness in my heart as it
all becomes too apparent. What I have come to realize in the end is that all
this magic I feel originates from woven thread; cleverly woven thread. Why
can't I grow my wings and fly? Why does my adventure not begin? Why must we
work to survive in a world where survival comes easily?
I just want to fly away.
I just want to fly away.

Details of My Plague Rat Costume: Constructed in Under Two Days
For those of you who do not know, I have been an Emilie Autumn fan since I was 13. After three incredible performances with another one quickly approaching, I began planning my costume the week I purchased my tickets. However, the weekend before the concert I began putting together the completed costume and I was completely mortified by the overall unorganized and uncoordinated mess I had created. (the feather bustle did not help.)
As a result, I scraped the original concept and began looking at each and every costume Emilie Autumn and her bloody crumpets wore for inspiration. I decided if I was comfortable dressing up as a bubble gum big bird I might as well be the preferred animal of the Asylum and opted for a Plague Rat since, at the time, Emilie was auctioning off her original Rat Costume. (one of my personal favorite costumes I might add!)
Now of course, three days before the show, I don't believe I realized how absolutely fucked I was. But, nevertheless, if there is one thing I do well it's working under pressure! After much consideration (a day and a trip to the craft store to be exact), I decided to try and combine Veronica's costume and add lavender in order to make the different shades of gray pop! Here's the outcome:
The corset needs much more detail but I hand sewed every bead and little gem myself. I'm going to continue to work on this piece until Animazement.
Now the bra and bustle with the corset. I didn't put much detail in the bra.
(I won't lie, doesn't look half bad without the corset!)
My mom helped me sew the Swag Bustle on top of the layers of fabric and tulle I had already sewn on. She even showed me how to make fabric roses! I'm going to decorate the fuck out of this skirt as soon as I get some more time on my hands at this week.
I have a long list of details I need to add in order to make this costume truely complete but in under two days I believe I out did myself compared to last year. I can't help but to imagine what this set will look like once I finish it!
(this is my MERRR face, i tried to show off my glittery lips but to no avail.)

Shoes, Glorious Shoes!!
Princess shoes by mismarissa on Polyvore
shoes from La Parfait and DreamV
Cute, Playful, and Fuzzy!
Now, as some of you may know; I am all about over the top shoes. As a matter of fact, my shoe collection has grown far past my expectations and shows no signs of slowing down. Recently I have been yearning for more sweet, delicate, and glittery heels. So I decided to make a hobby out of it and take shoe decoration more seriously Over the past few months I have started searching for more shoes in which I could decorate. After found perfect (and cheap) shoes to decorate I looked for examples and muses. I took inspiration from such brands as La Parfait and DreamV and finally started working towards dreamy shoes.
Stripper shoes have proven to be an excellent base for beautiful custom shoes. I have seen them used in cosplays as well as wonderful outfits. I felt no shame going through each and every stripper supply shop looking for the best price on shoes in order to decorate. In the end all that I'm after are shoes.
I have always admired DreamV's shoes and There were hand's down my personal favorite! However, like most of there more detailed items they sold out quickly. But, while I scrolled through the foot wear on ebay I found a perfect base in order to recreate my dream shoes!

After four wonderful hours I completed my beautiful shoes. These were actually cheap Pleaser Shoes in which I ordered to decorate. (my mom said they were "fuck me" shoes until I decorated them lol)
- I hand stitched four pink bow. Two large and two small
- Edged the inside and edging with white lace
- glued gems and half pearls on the clear plastic heels and sealed them
- threaded crystal beads and pearls on wire thread and hung them under the small bows on the heels
- added heart shaped gems with a crystal bead onto the big bows.
Surprisingly these decorations are sturdy and sealed on for good!
Hell Yes Stripper Shoes!
(Likewise, I even used these Ellie Stripper boots for a cos-play back in may using inspiration from DreamV and Kerli.)
I have always admired DreamV's shoes and There were hand's down my personal favorite! However, like most of there more detailed items they sold out quickly. But, while I scrolled through the foot wear on ebay I found a perfect base in order to recreate my dream shoes!
Once again Stripper shoes saved the day. Moreover, there are more heel height options: 6 inch, 7 inch, and 8 inch!
Overall, I think that platform heels are the future of fashion.. Or at least the future of my style.
(I mean how can you not want to cover these with bows and prance around town~!?)
Overall, just got for it and make
some fabulous foot wear!

Personal Updates
Lately I have been aloof, busy, and focusing on school while leaving my social life in the shadows. I believe I am still adjusting to the melancholy swing of things. Still, I feel the need to balance out school and blogging so that I do not fall into a pit of self pity and diva style drama. I want to craft, sing, play guitar, clean, dance, rave, and some many other pointless teenage antics. But school keeps me from my friends and foes.
(It was the fall tour)
When the news of Emilie Autumn's North American tour dropped, October 2nd became my new deadline for an elaborate costume I have never thought of before. A burlesque diva with a Rococo flare. A new idea, one of which I would have never thought of without the Inspiration graced by Dita Von Teese. A new idea requires new items pieces to complete the look and theme. Nothing from my wardrobe could accommodate this idea without looking like the same old tired look (my personal style) we have become use to. Likewise I feel like nothing I own would do this idea any justice.
(So motherfuckin' original.)
I soon realized I needed cash after checking my income and going over some ideas. I needed everything to be ready in two weeks. Last weeks paycheck had come and went. SO. After reviewing what I need I began busting my hump for extra income. This meant along with school, part time work, and boyfriend, I had to pile part time work with my mom. Needless to say I have been busy.
(nope.)
BUT, Emilie Autumn announced a delay in her tour due to an illness. This came as a shock but turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Now my deadline is pushed further back to January. This news came after I sold items from my wardrobe and had, metaphorically, worked my plush-rump off.
(okay life I see what you're trying to do to me)
This will I will finish up my work, school will be taken care of, and I will go back to gracing everyone's dashboard with my prescience. I will continue to build my costume and create something completely different. Whenever a new event takes place I decide to out do myself every time. I always want to make myself from months ago look like a total weaboo loser. It is a challenge to recreate a new concept of myself every time but I gladly accept the task.
(look at this goddamn ita weaboo thinking she's all cool and shit)
Here's what you have miss these past weeks:
I'm starting a decorated bra collection and this is the second addition.
(boobs)
I'm going to beat this game.
(fuck yis 90's-00's PC games)
Ever had a Hungarian Sugar cookie?
(did you know even I'm half Hungarian?)
Currently awaiting photos from a photoshoot. This is the only preview I have to offer.
(I dare you to ask me where my sheep is. I fucking dare you.)
My boyfriend is fabulous.
(wanna guess who had to shave his legs?)
I am Nicolas Cage
(I have been caged by Beckwith)
Shopping Finds and Some Inspiration.
Recently I have not been posting all that much personal themed posted on my tumblr or over here. This is because I have been occupied with school and my personal life. These past weeks have been difficult. However I keep pressing onward!
Anywho, I want to start sharing interesting items I stumble upon for those who might have missed them. I have an entire folder in my bookmarks filled with links and items so I'll try to keep up~
This dress caught my eye over on Etsy. However, the item was taken down (to switch over to their website from etsy) and I was unable to find it again until today. It's a steep price to pay for a t-shirt dress but I can't help but to melt at this items. Cherry lolipops are my one and only favorite candy. If I ever have 200 dollars laying around I might snatch this up.
This wonderful dress was created but the talented artist Caitlin Shearer.
This dress comes from the indie brand Merry Berry Jelly. Every one that I have seen has bought this in Green. It has been said that this dress was inspired by Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. Personally, I'm dying to order this in the dusty pink style. I usually hate the color as a base color but something about this dress just looks so sweet and delicate.
Both items are made by Atelier Sylphe Corsets. These items are both very incredible and I do plan on buying both very soon. I am amazed from the quality of the neck collar. The collar comes in both black and white and I plan on buying both colors. I will be doing a review on both items.
I have seen this all over tumblr. However I have been unable to find it because the shop was closed for sometime. But recently they have opened back up and I bought my winning ribbon! This item is amazing and great quality. I highly recommend it.
This is honestly one of the nicest corsets I own. I bought it when it was on sale back in February for the same sale price. This shop carries a variety of corsets for decent prices. If you are looking for a base corset to decorate I cannot recommend this item enough. I am buying this corset again to hand dye it lavender and decorate for the Emilie Autumn show in January.
Has anyone else been searching high and low for a classic japanese back pack that wasn't $200+?
Here you go.
Speaking of backpacks. For $50 dollars this could be yours. I'm sorry but that's a great price to pay for a made-to-order bag as cute as this one.
Everyone grab your Japanese shopping services because you're going to need them to order these amazing tights!
I own two backpacks from the company who makes these items and they are okay quality but I love mine to death!
Next we have some shops that I recommend you keep an eye on:
Planet-Zero makes adorable t-shirts and jewelry, however the shipping may take some time.
Restyle is a polish gothic shop that sells amazing items. The shipping is also quick but their corsets are just cheap Chinese mass made ones.
La Petite File if you haven't seen this brand yet please check her out. I'm planing my first purchase soon!
Yard666sale carries items perfect for Slime punk, Grudge, and post 90's style. Check out their etsy, bigcartel, and tumblr!
Wildskin recreates items that are perfect for an over the top mori-girl outfit. They are one of a kind and simply beautiful. if you do not feel comfortable paying for their prices then use them as inspiration.
One last item I DO NOT recommend buying this item due to the negative feedback the seller has received. However, I want us to take a look at this item for inspiration. I plan on recreating a corset inspired by this item:
It's a shame that the seller has gone under but I plan on using her work as inspiration. I will use an underbust cone shape corset and hand dying it lavender. I will use some edging similar to the lace roses but I plan on using more detail then they did. I will sew on gems, pearls, and lace the the base edge and pull it up to the top. Next, I purchased a light pink bustle which I will alter to sew onto this corset. (or just wear under the corset, I'm still undecided) I will add pearls and crystals to hang from the bottom and I will have them hanging from the bra across the shoulder as well.
I have so much in mind that this design has set forward. I cannot wait to get started and I will keep everyone up to date with the project.
xoxo
